The Quadretti d'Orzo of the Praglia Abbey are candies produced by hand, according to an ancient recipe, cooked over direct heat in a copper pot and worked entirely by hand.
Fire-cooked barley candies have an intense and persistent caramelized flavor, with notes of malt and toasted barley; they are hard and crunchy, but they slowly melt in your mouth, releasing their flavor gradually.
Any whitening of the candy is a natural phenomenon due to the absence of preservatives and colorings.
