Olive oil, which is the main ingredient of Camaldoli's vegetable soaps, has been known for thousands of years for its innumerable properties, especially for its high emollient and nourishing power for the body. It is a powerful antioxidant able to prevent the signs of aging, fighting the harmful action of free radicals; it protects from external aggressions, such as cold, sun and wind; it restores elasticity and tone to the skin, nourishing it deeply. It has an anti-inflammatory and soothing action on redness and irritation and is tolerated even by the most sensitive skin.

Coconut oil is a vegetable oil rich in antioxidant substances, such as hyaluronic acid, which have an emollient and moisturizing action on the skin. Coconut oil has antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal properties and is an excellent foaming agent.

Milk Soap

It is a vegetable soap with strong emollient properties because, to the undoubted benefits of olive oil, coconut oil and rapeseed oil, and essential oil of rosemary, are added those of milk. Milk, used since ancient times, is considered an elixir of beauty; rich in proteins, vitamin A and B8, it has a moisturizing and softening action on the skin, fights free radicals and prevents skin aging, stimulating cell turnover; it has purifying and soothing effects and restores elasticity to the tissues. The corn starch contained in the soap, cleanses naturally and gently.

It is particularly suitable for dry skin.

Honey and Beeswax Soap

It is a vegetable soap suitable for delicate skin, as, in addition to the well-known olive oil, which is the fundamental base, coconut oil, rapeseed oil and rosemary essential oil, it contains the nourishing and emollient properties of honey and beeswax. Honey and beeswax, or alba wax, undoubtedly have antibacterial and emollient properties. Beeswax in particular has an anti-dehydrating action because it has a chemical structure similar to that of the skin and forms a protective film that resists washing with detergents and cleaners, and protects against aggressive atmospheric agents. Honey and beeswax are excellent healers and stimulate cell regeneration.

Red Wine Soap

The vegetable soap with Red Wine of the Camaldolese Monks, is a natural soap for sensitive skin. It is produced with red wine "Borbotto", from the Cooperativa Agricola e Forestale La Mausolea owned by the Monastic Community of Camaldoli. The red wine, known since ancient times for its countless benefits, not only at the table, has always been used for body care. Rich in antioxidant properties and polyphenols, it counteracts skin aging and promotes microcirculation. Olive Oil Soap

At the base, consisting of olive oil, coconut oil, rapeseed oil and essential oil of rosemary, is added honey, a natural antibacterial that makes the soap ideal for delicate skin. Honey deeply nourishes the skin, making it tonic and elastic, has a healing and antioxidant effect that prevents skin aging. Excellent both for cleansing the face and body.
